Marbella is a
beautiful town situated in the heart of the Costa
del Sol that has retained its typical Andalucian
flavour. Narrow streets, whitewashed houses and
squares full of flowers typify Marbella, and all
this is surrounded by the sea and the mountains.

Marbella
has much to offer the visitor with its endless
beaches, numerous golf courses, leisure
ports, and many varied restaurants and shops.
Due to its geographical location Marbella
enjoys a special micro climate with no harsh
winters or uncomfortably hot summers. The
sun shines on average for 320 days per year
and there are less than 50 rainy days. The
hills and mountains surrounding Marbella
contain many quaint Andalucian villages
and a visit to the town of Ronda would be
well worthwhile.

El Angel (El Angel
Gardens). Leaving Marbella in the direction of
Istan, and situated in the El Angel Colony (in

Avenida
del Mar. In the centre of the city (between
the Alameda Park and the Promenade) you
will find one of the greatest accomplishments
in the city in recent years. What used to
be an abandoned park in deplorable conditions
has become a promenade and a resting area
(with underground parking). The Avenida
is studded with the most complete collection
of sculptures by Salvador Dali, bought by
the Marbella Town Hall during the GIL Government.
The marble floors (always kept clean and
shiny) make the Avenida del Mar one of the
most beautiful parts of Marbella.

one of the most beautiful and peaceful parts
of Marbella. With thick vegetation, a children’s
playground and a small astronomic observatory,
this park is the ideal resting place for
all those looking for a little peace. There
is an auditorium inside which seats 600,
and plays home to shows throughout the year
that vary from opera to theatre, choirs,
concerts and the never-ending cultural events.

Paseo
Maritimo. What initially seemed a dream that
covered a few kilometres of coast, Paseo Maritimo
has become one of the busiest areas in Marbella,
running along the coast, from Banana Beach (El
Cable) to Puerto Banus. Seven kilometres of marble
floors next to the sea make taking a stroll a
very enjoyable activity. Joggers and other sportsmen
and women make frequent stops along the way to
enjoy the culinary delicacies offered at the numerous
"Chiringuitos" to be found along the route.
